Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Overhead Lines Worker to support the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead networks. This role involves working on low to high-voltage systems (up to 35 kV) to ensure a safe and reliable power supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and string overhead lines, including conductors, insulators, and related equipment
- Inspect networks and carry out maintenance and repair work
- Identify faults using diagnostic tools and resolve technical issues
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Support renewable energy connections, including solar projects
- Complete technical reports and maintenance records accurately
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience with medium and high voltage systems (0.4 kV to 35 kV)
- Skilled in cable jointing and terminations using materials such as Raychem, Nexans, or Cellpack
- Strong ability to perform testing, measurements, and diagnostics
- Good understanding of electrical safety rules and safe working distances
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
- Relevant electrical trade qualification or engineering diploma preferred
