VHB’s Watertown and Boston offices are seeking a Senior Transportation Planner / Project Manager in the Transportation Planning and Operations group to join our growing teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Institutional Market Sector, including Educational and Healthcare Facilities, with a proven track record in winning and executing projects within the Greater Boston and larger New England region. The role requires strategic thinking, business development skills, professional networking, and experience in developing and maintaining key client and partner relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage institutional client relationships.
  • Oversee all phases of higher education, K-12, and healthcare projects, including Construction Administration, staffed by multidisciplinary teams.
  • Apply multimodal planning and analysis to transportation design and campus systems.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop staff professionally and technically.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to understand needs and address design/permitting issues.
  • Participate in professional organizations to foster relationships with institutional owners and partners.
  • Develop new project opportunities and lead proposal submissions.
