VH Talent is excited to be working alongside a prominent manufacturing company to recruit an experienced HSE Manager. This independent role offers the opportunity for a skilled Health, Safety & Environmental professional to take full leadership of all on-site HSE activities, driving a proactive safety culture and leading continuous improvement across the business.
The HSE Lead Role:
* Ensure ongoing compliance with current Health & Safety legislation by regularly reviewing the legal register.
* Monitor, collect, analyse, and report all HSE KPI data in line with agreed deadlines.
* Create and implement engaging sessions and materials to communicate corporate policies and initiatives to all employees.
* Support departmental managers in all aspects of EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) management, with a strong focus on risk assessments, training, and auditing.
* Ensure compliance with the internal H&S auditing programme, applicable to the company and wider group
* Maintain the site’s Environmental ISO 14001 Standard by evaluating environmental impact and implementing related objectives and plans. xiskglj
* Ensure full implementation and adherence for the company initiatives, promoting continuous education and awareness among all employees.
You’ll need:
* Demonstrated experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Skilled in delivering training sessions and presentations to both small and large teams
* Certified in NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent health and safety qualification
* Proven track record of working in a Continuous Improvement environment, with practical application of Lean principles
* Experienced in ISO and some BRC experience would be advantageous
* Previous leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage, motivate, and influence teams
* A degree in a relevant discipline is desirable but not essential
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
