Title: Accounts Assistant (Part Time 16-20 hours) Hourly rate: £13.50 – £15.00 per hour Working hours: Monday – Thursday – 10:00am – 2:00pm (16-20 hours across 4 days, can be flexible on start & finish times) ***Please note, additional hours will be required during busier times Location: Ripley, Derbyshire VH Talent is excited to be working in partnership with our client, a small family run business that operates internationally to appoint a part time Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will report into the Accounts Manager, providing support with Purchase Orders, Invoicing and Finance Administration. This role is a unique opportunity working with a great team, including their office dog! The Accounts Assistant Role: * Inputting of purchase invoices onto Sage * Process payment of purchase invoices onto Sage for the weekly payment run * Match receipts to the credit card statement * Process receipts onto Sage from the credit card statement * Occasionally raise sales invoices * Updating excel spreadsheets * Process weekly meal allowances on Sage (POA) and manage Soldo, obtaining receipts and reconcile * Monthly supplier statement reconciliation * Filing of invoices * Process and update holiday spreadsheet * Supporting with payroll, journals, accruals and pre-payments * Processing of sub-contractors invoices & logging them under the right project number * Covering some duties for Accounts Manager whilst their on annual leave * Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the business as required You’ll Need: * Must be experienced in Microsoft packages including: Excel, Word and Outlook * Proficient in Sage – experience of Sage Projects would be advantageous * Excellent attention to detail and administrative experience * Good customer service skills and comfortable with answering incoming calls * Highly organised and adopts a pro active approach with the ability to use own initiative to drive tasks to completion and able to make decisions * Previous experience on supporting/running payroll would be advantageous * Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask when needed * Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner and follow strict guidelines to keep it secure * During busier times, extra hours will be required to support the department and wider business What’s in it for you: * Permanent position * Part time opportunity – 16-20 hours, flexible with start/finish times * Paid overtime during busier periods or time off in lieu * Training and development opportunities available * Being part of a friendly family run business that values its staff and rewards success * Company pension VH Talent, your Permanent and FTC Recruitment Partner
