£45-£50 per hour (outside IR35) + up to 5hrs travel time paid @ the hourly rate + overnight accommodation allowance + collaborative team environment + long-term contract assignment (min 12mths & rolling).
Our client, a highly successful engineering services organisation employing 60,000+ individuals globally, is looking for a Quality Engineer for an initial 12mth contract (rolling).
Quality Engineer remit includes:
- Evaluate, verify and certify quality across specified operational projects.
- Propose and embed quality improvements where necessary, monitor, analyse and report on the quality of delivery performance on specific projects.
- Review and acceptance of relevant operational documentation or project supplier quality submissions.
- Define Quality and Lifetime Record strategies for an operational plant, project or contract where appropriate.
- Provide assurance that adequate document and records management arrangements are implemented.
- Provision of technical advice on operational or project functions.
- Investigate quality related concerns and events, and identify appropriate corrective/preventive action, escalating quality issues.
- Provide oversight and assurance of the quality management system, including advice to users on quality matters.
Quality Engineer profile:
- Hold MOD / high hazard industry SC clearance OR proven eligibility to attain SC clearance (must be a British Citizen having worked in the UK ONLY for the last 5yrs).
- Degree or HND in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or relevant Engineering discipline.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ quality assurance experience in Nuclear or other high hazard industry including Heavy Plant Process, Oil & Gas etc.
- Experience of nuclear regulations, codes and standards and inspection requirements desirable.
- Strong inspections/audit experience.
- Experience managing the deployment of site QC personnel.
