- Fire Risk Assessor β covering the Midlands
We are looking to engage with a qualified Fire Risk Assessor on an ongoing contract basis to undertake Fire Risk assessments and offer expert advice to a range of clients and industries.
This will suit an individual with other clients, who is happy to add another client to their portfolio, initially 2-3 days a week, however work is likely to ramp up quickly.
Responsibilities
- Work independently to deliver high-quality Tier 2 Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Safety Audits, Fire Management Strategies, Fire Door Surveys, Passive Protection Surveys, Fire & Emergency Plans, Fire Safety Consultancy, etc. across a varied client base.
- Technical Project Management and service delivery for a broad range of clients including Corporate, Construction (CDM), Residential, Schools, Hospitals, Hospitality, etc.
- Produce technically correct reporting and demonstrate knowledge, experience and sound understanding of Fire Safety legislation, standards and best practice.
- Client relationship management; deal with queries and challenges effectively and appropriately, offering advice and solutions.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire safety regulations and standards (e. g., BS9999).
Qualifications & Requirements
- FPA Level 3 NVQ in Fire Safety
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Management Certificate
- Registered on IFSM (Tier 2 Competent Fire Risk Assessors register CFRAR) or IFE equivalent
- A Fire Safety accreditation with a recognised professional body (e. g., Institute of Fire Engineers β Graduate GIFire E or similar)
- Technical understanding of the implementation of fire safety legislation and technical standards (e. g., BS9999)
- Minimum of 3-5 years risk assessment experience with capability to conduct Tier 2 risk assessments
- Knowledge and experience of assessing buildings with areas over 30,000 m2
- Previous Fire risk assessment experience across various environments (heavy industry, construction, corporate, schools, data centres, etc.)
- CDM knowledge & understanding beneficial
- Liaison with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation including senior management
