HSE Consultant (CMIOSH or working towards) – Cheshire
£50 per hour (outside IR35) + initial 3 weeks, full time site-based contract work to start 22nd June (possibility of extending).
Our client, a global organisation employing more than 55,000 individuals, is looking to engage with a contract HSE Consultant (CMIOSH or working towards) with a background in construction site safety alongside CDM / Principal Designer experience.
This opportunity will suit a contract H&S Consultant who has other clients and is happy to add further ad-hoc work to their portfolio.
HSE Consultant (CMIOSH or working towards) remit includes:
- Offer H&S advice & risk/compliance solutions to onsite contracts team.
- Undertake H&S Risk assessments and deliver report as required.
- Perform audits of policies, procedures and company processes for Client as required, to ensure safe systems of work, delivering reports within SLA timeframes.
- Undertake accident and Incident Investigations.
- Identify EHS risks and advise on mitigation strategies to reduce risk/exposure.
- Provide high standards of decision making and assist in continually improving H&S standards on site.
HSE Consultant (CMIOSH or working towards) profile:
- BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Health & Safety Management or similar.
- Ideally CMIOSH or working towards + understanding of CDM & Construction site safety in high-risk environments.
- Experience dealing with health & safety or risk/compliance solutions across construction sites in Aviation, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, heavy industry etc.
- Lead auditor training in Health & Safety Management.
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate advantageous.
- A willingness to travel further afield in the UK for project work as required.
- Excellent report, presentation & communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage own time effectively.
- Strong relationship building skills / proficient in MS Office applications.
