£per hour (on application & experience dependent) + standard 40hr week + excellent overtime opportunities & rates (after 40hrs p/w) + 12month contract (rolling)
PAUT Inspector responsibilities include:
- Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
- Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical / electrical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
- Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
PAUT Inspector profile:
- An experienced Engineer / Inspector, ideally min 10yrs background as a Welding Engineer & 5yrs in equipment inspections (including NDT & material control)
- C&G Cert / or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTEC in engineering discipline.
- Must have CSWIP 3.1/3.2
- Must have Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing PCN (PAUT ticket)
- Sound understanding in Materials, Welding and NDE techniques.
- Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries.
