VGC Group are looking for experienced NG-Wiremen (NG Competent Person - NSI 6 & 8 Full) to start on a project in Swansea.
Location: Swansea
Salary: £34.00 per hour PAYE

Qualifications: NSI 6 & 8 Full Competent Person, Manual Handling, Slinger signaller, first aid, EUSR utility SHEA power, COSHH awareness, fire safety
Your role as an NG-Wireman will consist of:
- Installation, wiring, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment within National Grid substations
- Working from electrical drawings, schematics and specifications to install and terminate control and protection systems
- Carrying out cable pulling, glanding, terminating and panel wiring to required standards
- Installation and maintenance of switchgear, transformers, marshalling kiosks and associated substation plant
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in compliance with National Grid safety rules and site procedures
- Acting as an NG Competent Person (NSI 6 & 8 Full), including adherence to permit systems and safe systems of work
- Fault finding, testing and inspection of electrical systems to ensure operational integrity
- Working closely with engineers, supervisors and other trades to deliver projects safely, on time and to specification
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping at all times
Based in Swansea, remuneration for this role is £34.00 per hour PAYE. You will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
