Electrician (Voids & Maintenance)
Salary: Up to Β£43,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Company Van
Location: Southampton and surrounding areas
Hours: 40 hours per week

The Role
We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a busy Voids and Property Maintenance team covering Southampton, Bournemouth, Poole, Salisbury and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Working across vacant residential properties, you will be responsible for ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for new tenants.
No two properties are the same, offering a diverse range of work including inspections, testing, fault finding, repairs, upgrades, and installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical inspection and testing of domestic properties
- Fault finding, repairs and maintenance works
- Consumer unit replacements and upgrades
- Electrical installations and remedial works
- Ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and safety standards
- Producing accurate certification and documentation
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to minimise void turnaround times
- Delivering excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- AM2 qualification (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience
- Experience within social housing, property maintenance, or void properties
- NICEIC registered or experience working to NICEIC standards
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
