VGC Group are excited to be growing our team, working from our North Shields office. Due to business expansion and an increase in workload, we are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our team. VGC Group work with several of the UK's leading names in the Construction, Civil Engineering and Energy Infrastructure sectors. This role will focus on permanent and temporary recruitment of professional and technical staff on behalf of our clients in these sectors.

Some of your work will include:

  • Responsibility for delivering permanent and/or temporary placements to agreed target levels in line with business strategy.
  • Candidate sourcing through advertising, job boards and other media.
  • Manage job board usage.
  • Liaise with marketing to get the roles onto the company social media channels.
  • Process responses to recruitment adverts and maintain contact on availability for candidates seeking work and the recruitment process.
  • Ensure all recruitment/resourcing activities are logged on the database.
  • Maintaining a list of live vacancies, progress, PSLs and opportunities.
  • Registering candidates sourcing and registering new candidates including reviewing paperwork, right to work checks, qualification checks, interviewing, references, contracts etc.

We will consider applicants with all levels of experience as full training and support will be provided, however if you have the below experience or skills, we would love to hear from you:

  • Experience of working within the recruitment industry.
  • Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Access & Outlook as well as recruitment CRM systems.
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, Organisational & Planning Skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and meet personal targets within a fluctuating & demanding workload.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and use own initiative.
