Electrical Design Engineer - Contract (3 year)
Location: Manchester Office Based (Remote working can be discussed)
Work Pattern: Hybrid Working (2/3 days in the office, usually Tuesday through Thursday)
Project: Various Water Frameworks
Role details: Senior EC&I Designer reporting to project lead engineer
Key Responsibilities- Providing safe, practical and economic designs for clients to a high standard of professional competence and in compliance with Company procedures
- Producing drawing office deliverables including but not limited to SLDs, IO & Cable Schedules, P&IDs, Material Take Offs, BCDs, Schematics, Equipment and Cable Routing Layouts
- Checking of drawings in accordance with Company Procedures
- Liaising with other disciplines as required
- ONC / OND / HNC / HND or equivalent qualification
- Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline across relevant sector
- 10+ years engineering experience in the relevant or similar sectors
- Proficient in CAD
- Knowledge LV electrical design
- Knowledge of UK legislation and standards
- Highly motivated and Customer focused
- Good communication skills and confident engaging with colleagues and relevant stakeholders
- Works with safety and risk management at the forefront of their minds
