VGC require a National Grid Gateman. Please only apply if you hold the below competence for a National Grid Substation.  Location: North West London – NW7 Rates: Negotiable VGC are currently recruiting NSI 6–8 National Grid Gatemen for work on a project in North West London. Requirements: National Grid Persons qualification for substations Valid CSCS Card NSI 6-8 qualification Previous experience working on National Grid sites.  Duties: Control entry and exit at the National Grid site. Check and record workers, visitors, vehicles and deliveries. Escort vehicles and contractors safely around the substation. Act as a Banksman, guiding reversing, maneuvering and plant movements. Follow National Grid safety procedures around high-voltage equipment, overhead lines, cranes, lorries and lifting operations. Report unsafe acts, incidents or unauthorised access to the Site Supervisor or Authorised Person. Maintain safe control of site access and vehicle movements.
