About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join a busy maintenance team covering Yeovil and surrounding areas.

You'll carry out a mixture of electrical testing, inspections, repairs, installations and planned improvement works across residential properties, helping to ensure homes remain safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work on both occupied and empty properties while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical testing and inspections
  • Fault finding and responsive repairs
  • Electrical installations and upgrades
  • Planned improvement works including kitchens, bathrooms and heating projects
  • Communal lighting and electrical improvement works
  • Completion of certification and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring all work meets current safety and quality standards
  • Providing excellent customer service while working in residents' homes

Requirements

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • Previous experience as a qualified Electrician
  • Experience carrying out testing, inspection, maintenance and installation works
  • Knowledge of NICEIC certification software or similar systems
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience within social housing or property maintenance is advantageous but not essential.
