About the Role

We are hiring a bright, motivated individual for a 6-12 month Investment Intern / Analyst position. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the heart of a private equity firm — working across sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio support.

You will work directly with the investment team and be involved across a range of tasks:

Deal Sourcing & Research

• Mapping sectors and identifying potential investment opportunities
• Preparing market landscapes and briefing notes
• Supporting development of VGC’s deal pipeline

Due Diligence & Transaction Execution

• Analysing company financials and building valuation models
• Supporting commercial and financial due diligence processes
• Preparing materials for Investment Committee

Portfolio Support

• Working with portfolio companies on strategic and operational projects
• Tracking performance metrics and analysing KPIs
• Assisting with follow-on investment decisions and M&A opportunities

Internal Projects

• Supporting fund reporting and investor materials
• Helping to streamline internal systems and research databases

Candidate Profile

We are open to a range of backgrounds — you could be a recent graduate, post-MBA candidate, or someone early in your career looking for deep exposure to private equity.

We would like candidates to be able to demonstrate some or all of:

• Strong maths skills and comfort with financial statements and accounting concepts
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• A genuine interest in private equity and venture capital — ideally with examples of past involvement, self-initiated learning, or relevant internships
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and comfort working in a small, fast-paced team
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
