How would you like to join a leading contractor in the transmission & distribution sector? We are recruiting for a Project Manager to deliver electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels across the Northeast & Yorkshire.
About the role:
The role will be to project manage pre-construction and construction activities (from design to energisation) for large-scale high voltage infrastructure and grid connections at voltage levels between up to 132kV. Projects would include feasibility, detailed design, procurement, construction, test and commissioning on existing or new substations and associated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Having a proven working history of working in the electricity/transmission industry delivering project engineer activities
- 5+ years’ experience practicing as a project engineer
- Having the skills, experience and knowledge of all selected distribution asset classes of cables/overhead lines/substations/civils works and work programmes to accept responsibility for works at all voltages typically from LV up to and including 66kV.
- Where an individual has skills, experience and knowledge in selected distribution asset classes of only cables and/or overhead line, civil works and work programmes, WITHOUT substations, this level will apply
- Having the ability to successfully manage works associated with both major projects and high-volume work stream works and accept responsibility for project of typical financial value +£5m.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering
- Location: North-East of England, Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire or Greater Manchester
- Relevant experience on Distribution (and/or transmission).
- CDM knowledge (Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer)
