The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced

Site Agent to join a leading contractor delivering a major rail infrastructure project in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and proactive individual to play a key role in the successful delivery of works within a challenging and fast-paced rail environment.

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to budget, and in accordance with quality standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day construction activities on site.
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, company procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and programme performance.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and resources.
  • Review and implement RAMS, permits, and work package plans.
  • Manage site documentation, quality records, and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project management teams.
  • Support commercial activities including cost control and change management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Site Agent on rail infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Experience delivering civil engineering, rail, track, structures, or station projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities.

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • SMSTS.
  • CSCS Card.
  • PTS (Personal Track Safety) preferred.
  • First Aid at Work qualification desirable.
