Are you looking for the next step in your career? We are now recruiting for a Manufacturing Prepper & Cleaner. The main requirements of your role will be:
- Clean, visually inspect, package and label piece parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies and chambers to U.H.V. standards as detailed in the VACGEN cleaning specifications.
- Carry out leak checks on chambers.
- Bead blasting.
- Identify and report any faults found.
- Meet deadlines for internal and external customers.
- Bead blasting to remove surface deposits to achieve high quality finished parts.
- To perform other duties from time to time, as may be required by the Company.
- Ensure tidiness and physical appearance of the work place is maintained.
- Ensure adherence to HS&E policies.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Understand UHV cleaning standards.
- Understand working with hazardous chemicals and the relevant safety issues.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Cleaning to U.H.V. standards using abrasive materials and chemicals.
- Deadline driven without compromising quality.
- Relevant health and safety training.
- Must understand requirements of On Time Delivery both internally and externally.
- Experience of Bead Blasting would be an advantage.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Knowledge or experience of welding and fabrication processes would be beneficial.
- Previous experience of working in the vacuum industry would be advantageous.
- Qualified to BTech/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
