Primary Objectives

  • Operating manual lathes / mill.
  • Manufacturing small metal components using a variety of manual machines.

Main Requirements and Employee Accountabilities

  • Working to high tolerances.
  • Following engineering drawings.
  • Ensuring that components are machined to the correct specifications.
  • Completing relevant documentation.
  • Basic inspection of the completed parts.
  • Adhering to health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Working to high standard of quality finish components.
  • Good knowledge of measuring equipment i.e. vernier, micrometer, bore micrometer, etc.

  • Previous experience working with manual lathes / mills.
