About the Role

The Financial Risk Analyst plays a key role in supporting credit and liquidity risk management across our client portfolio. Sitting at the intersection of trading, risk, and operations, the role provides real-time insight into client exposures, margin requirements, and funding positions. Working closely with the Financial Risk Manager, you will help oversee the margin call process between VFX, our clients, and liquidity providers, while contributing to credit analysis, daily reporting, and the maintenance of robust monitoring and controls. This is a hands-on, early-career role suited to recent graduates or candidates with up to two years' experience in risk, credit, treasury, or a similar analytical role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring client exposures and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and limits
  • Perform financial statement and trading behaviour analysis to support credit decisions
  • Maintain robust administrative and operational controls to ensure timely reviews, covenant checks and escalation of key issues
  • Collaborate effectively with Front and Back Office teams to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure seamless processing
  • Prepare and distribute daily liquidity reporting
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of structured FX products, market risk, liquidity risk, and related operational considerations
  • Support process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Oversee margin call management for clients, including initial and variation margin, in line with contractual and regulatory obligations
  • Support the Financial Risk Manager in conducting credit facility reviews and monitoring counterparty exposures

Candidate Profile

Experience & Background

  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or another numerate discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Exposure to financial markets, ideally FX or derivatives, is advantageous but not required

Technical Skills

  • Strong numeracy and analytical capability
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Understanding of financial statements and company analysis
