Finance Assistant – Graduate Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team. This is a hands-on role covering the day-to-day of accounts payable and receivable, payroll preparation, reconciliations, and month-end support. You’ll also get exposure to analysis and ad hoc projects, helping to ensure accuracy and integrity across all financial data. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a fast-paced financial services business, gaining experience across the full finance function.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and manage weekly payment runs.
• Raise client invoices, reconcile payments, and monitor outstanding balances.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, monitor balances, and manage company cards.
• Support month-end with journals, reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals.
• Prepare payroll data and assist with submissions via PayFit.
• Contribute to budget vs actual reports, IB analysis, and expense reporting.
• Monitor the finance inbox, responding to queries promptly.
• Support external audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and post depreciation.
• Help forecast short-term cash flow and support intercompany reconciliations.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to build scalable finance operations.
• Managing multiple tasks across accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
• Balancing routine processes with ad hoc reporting and analysis.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Process-driven, with confidence to suggest and implement improvements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Xero (accounting software).
• Familiarity with PayFit (payroll).
• Exposure to Power BI or data visualisation tools.

Next Steps

If you are successful, you will be contacted for an initial call with our People Ops Partner, followed by a 1st stage Teams interview with the hiring manager, followed by an in-person final stage interview at our London office.
