Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Managing sales ledger duties
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Allocation of payments
- Resolving finance queries
- Credit control activities and customer account reporting
- Intercompany reconciliations and stock‑related finance processes
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns
- Supporting Financial Controller
- Assisting with audit preparation, schedules and supporting documentation
- Ensuring sales ledger is maintained accurately and closed within reporting deadlines
What you will need:
We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented finance assistant who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate financial information. You will ideally have:
- Experience within Accounts Assistant or similar finance position
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, ledger management and month‑end processes
- Experience supporting audits and VAT processes
- Good Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
- Experience using accounting software and reporting systems
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
