Veyco builds technology that handles the critical, high-stakes steps in a property transaction. Our products are used by conveyancers, lenders and property professionals across the UK to manage identity verification, AML, onboarding and electronic signing. We are looking for an SDLT consultant to join our growing compliance team. This is a role for someone who already handles SDLT as part of their work, has a sharp eye for the regulatory detail, and is ready to do more of it, in a faster, more forward-thinking environment.
If you are a conveyancer or tax lawyer who finds the SDLT side of your work genuinely interesting and has ever thought about what it would look like inside a tech company, this is worth reading.
What the role involves:- Processing and advising on SDLT across residential and commercial transactions
- Handling reliefs, exemptions and less straightforward structures
- Staying close to regulatory changes and understanding their practical implications
- Identifying and flagging risk accurately and promptly
- Ensuring transactions are completed correctly and on time
- You are likely a conveyancer or tax lawyer with solid SDLT experience.
- You are confident across a broad range of transaction types, you pay close attention to the regulatory detail and you are the kind of person who notices things others miss.
- You are ambitious, commercially aware and interested in where the property and legal sectors are heading.
- Working inside a tech company appeals to you, and you are ready for something different from a traditional firm environment.
- What is the correct SDLT treatment for this transaction?
- Where does the risk sit and how should it be managed?
- Does this structure qualify for a relief or exemption?
- What needs escalating and what can be resolved here?
Competitive, dependent on experience. We are open on hours and structure. Whether you are looking for a full-time position, a part-time arrangement or a consultancy basis, we are happy to discuss what works.
If this sounds like you, or you know someone who would be a good fit, please get in touch at clare@veyco.com.
