Are you an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon looking for a new and exciting role? This could be the perfect fit for you! Situated in South London, this brand-new surgery offers a unique blend of high clinical standards and a pleasant working environment. Located inside a new concept store, the practice is just half an hour from central London, yet it retains a charming village atmosphere with leafy suburban streets. Excellent national and international transport links make commuting a breeze.

The practice is designed to help you make the most of your skills while also providing ample opportunities for further development. The team is passionate and ambitious, committed to maintaining a blame-free, open feedback, and collaborative culture. You'll be supported by a dedicated team of 3 RVNs, 4 VCAs, and 1 practice administrator, ensuring you have the resources you need to excel.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Conducting 20-minute consultations
  • Performing surgeries such as spays, castrations, exlaps, cystotomies, pyometras, and c-sections
  • Handling emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery
  • Practicing stress-free, fear-free techniques
  • Providing the highest standard of patient care

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Veterinary Surgeon
  • Proficient in consultations and various surgical procedures
  • Excellent time management and client communication skills
  • Compassionate and enthusiastic team player
  • Keen interest in continuous professional development and training

The role offers flexibility with full or part-time hours available. The standard workweek is four days (8:45am – 7pm), and the weekend rota is 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:45am – 5:00pm), transitioning to 1 in 4 Saturdays. No out-of-hours work is required. The position comes with a competitive salary of £50,000 DOE / FTE, along with a generous benefits package that includes some unique perks.
