Registered Veterinary Nurse
Hull | Full time, 40 hours per week | Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience
Put your nursing skills to full use in a busy, purpose-built veterinary surgery, with a varied mix of consultations, inpatient care and theatre work. The surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards, with modern equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. Your role
You’ll be involved throughout the patient journey, from admission and preparation through to anaesthetic monitoring, recovery and discharge. Your day will combine nurse consultations, inpatient nursing and theatre duties, giving you scope to use your all-round skills rather than focus on just one area.
Veterinary Care Assistants and a Student Veterinary Nurse provide assistance with patient preparation and theatre turnaround. The practice is also open to nurses undertaking Schedule 3 procedures within their competence and appropriate clinical direction, offering further scope to develop your practical skills.
You’ll bring experience as an RVN, sound all-round nursing skills and a proactive approach to patient care. Clear communication, thoughtful client support and a willingness to work closely with colleagues will help you make a positive contribution. Above all, you’ll share the practice’s commitment to outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service.
Hours and package
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, covering early and late shifts and one in three Saturdays. There are no out-of-hours duties or overnight inpatient checks.
The package includes a salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience, generous CPD with funded certificates, in-house career development opportunities and paid RCVS, BVNA and VDS memberships.
