Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking a dynamic role where no two days are the same?
An exciting position has opened up for a skilled RVN to join a bustling 24-hour veterinary hospital in North West London on a maternity cover basis. This role offers the perfect blend of variety and challenge, ensuring you stay engaged and motivated every day.
Working 40 hours per week across 5 days, this position requires flexibility and a willingness to cover a range of daytime shifts, including approximately 1 in 4 weekends and one Bank Holiday. This schedule allows you to balance your professional commitments with ample time to unwind and enjoy life outside the hospital.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experienced veterinary surgeons and nursing teams
- Care for hospitalised patients and support surgical procedures
- Manage a diverse caseload, including emergency and critical care
- Adapt to various shift patterns and enjoy the dynamic nature of hospital nursing
- Work independently while knowing when to seek support from the team
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a busy clinical or hospital environment
- Confidence in assisting with surgery and anaesthesia
- Comfort in caring for hospitalised, emergency, and critical patients
- Ability to adapt to different shift patterns
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
The hospital boasts advanced diagnostic support, including CT and ultrasound, and a robust medical team with experienced surgeons who perform advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures. This environment ensures that you will continually develop your skills and knowledge.
What is offered:
- Competitive salary band of £32,000 to £36,000 FTE, depending on experience
- 6.6 weeks of annual leave, including bank holidays (pro rata)
