Key duties and responsibilities
- Oversee prescription request administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Manage the consulting and surgical/diagnostic diary in compliance with company policies.
- Provide site-level induction for new colleagues and locums.
- Schedule and conduct regular branch meetings, ensuring minutes are taken and actions are completed.
- Conduct thorough consultations, making evidence-based management and treatment recommendations.
- Perform surgeries within personal competence and limitations of overnight care.
- Refer cases to their Hospital when necessary.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.
- Record accurate and comprehensive clinical notes.

The role offers a 4-day work week, including a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 Hospital Sunday rotation, with occasional bank holiday duties. The practice is conveniently located on the Circle Line, just a 10-minute walk away.
Leadership training will be provided to support you in your new senior role. The salary band for this position is £60,000 to £90,000 FTE, depending on experience.
You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
