Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care to a variety of animals, including cattle, sheep, horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, exotics, and poultry.
- Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced equipment such as Idexx lab station, X-ray machine, and ultrasound machines.
- Perform surgical procedures and administer anaesthesia using the latest anaesthetic and dental machines.
- Offer around-the-clock care, including out-of-hours services, to ensure the well-being of all animals.
- Engage in fertility work for cattle and horses, and handle equine tendon scanning.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary standards.
Skills and experience
- Qualified veterinary surgeon with a valid licence to practice.
- Special interest in farm animals or equine care is highly desirable.
- Experience in a mixed veterinary practice is preferred.
