Are you an experienced small animal vet looking to elevate your career, perhaps feeling a bit stifled or rushed in your current role? Imagine an opportunity where your skills can flourish in a dynamic, multi-site RCVS-accredited practice, situated in the heart of Mid Wales. This might just be the perfect next step for you.
Discover a Career with More Flexibility and Growth Potential
Our client understands that as a dedicated veterinary professional, you crave opportunities to grow and explore different aspects of your field. That’s why they offer you the flexibility to focus on your areas of expertise, with avenues to engage in unique areas outside of traditional practice work. Here, you could find yourself:
- Teaching or lecturing through ties with Aberystwyth University,
- Contributing to research projects,
- Advising the Welsh Government on matters of animal welfare.
The clinical opportunities are exceptional, too. Unlike many first-opinion practices, all surgeries, including orthopaedics and advanced soft tissue, are handled in-house . This means you’ll have the chance to sharpen your surgical skills while minimizing the need for referrals—perfect for a vet ready to push their clinical boundaries.
Work-Life Balance and a Friendly Community
In this role, you'll enjoy a balanced work schedule (5 days, 08:30-17:30) with a shared weekend and on-call rota (3 vets on call at a time). And because this is a rural practice, you can experience the slower, more fulfilling pace of life that comes with working in a close-knit community. This isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle, offering you time to savour the scenic beauty and welcoming environment of Mid Wales.
Competitive Compensation & Benefits
We believe in rewarding dedication and skill. Here’s what’s on offer:
- Competitive salary for experienced vets, up to £60,000
- Memberships to BVA and RCVS
- Generous CPD allowance of £2,000 + 5 days, with additional funding options for further qualifications
- Visa sponsorship assistance available for overseas applicants
You’ll be joining a team that values your expertise and supports your professional ambitions, with the added benefit of a welcoming, supportive community.
