Overview An exciting opportunity to join a thriving independent veterinary practice in stunning North Yorkshire. Celebrating 30 years of caring for animals and people, the 3-site practice (1 hospital and 2 branches) offers an excellent caseload, modern facilities, and a welcoming, supportive team of 8 vets and 13 nurses. Values: look after the animals, and everything else follows.The Role This flexible position is open to full-time or part-time applicants, with no out-of-hours work. Full-time is 38 hours a week across 4 full days, with a fixed weekday off and just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. Typical shifts are 8–6, 9–7, or 8:30–6:30 depending on the site. Clinical freedom is encouraged, with support always available – most days there are at least 4 vets on site. New graduates are never left to fly solo. Whether you\’re a new graduate seeking strong mentorship or an experienced vet looking to take on more leadership and mentoring responsibilities, this practice will support your ambitions.What\’s on offer Salary £35,000 – £75,000 depending on experience, 6.6 weeks holiday (including bank holidays), 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (no Sundays or OOH). CPD budget is uncapped, including support to certificate level. RCVS and VDS fees paid, visa sponsorship support available. Clinical freedom with no sales targets or restrictions. The main hospital and branches are equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray (including dental), and excellent medical and surgical facilities. The caseload is varied and interesting, with opportunities to work with exotics if desired, supported by ongoing training.
