Are you a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon looking to make a meaningful impact in both animal welfare and the local community? This independent, charity-owned clinic, located in the heart of a vibrant and welcoming community rich with natural beauty and cultural attractions, is seeking an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join their compassionate and skilled team.

Imagine working in a purpose-built clinic equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including digital x-ray equipment, ultrasound, a separate dental room with digital dental x-ray equipment, and an in-house laboratory. The clinic also boasts separate dog and cat wards, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients. The supportive and welcoming team is committed to providing exceptional veterinary services to both the animals at the charity and private pet owners, with all profits reinvested into the charity's mission.

The role offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 FTE, depending on experience, and a full-time schedule averaging 40 hours per week over four days. Flexibility is available for candidates with specific scheduling needs.

Enjoy a work‐life balance with no out‐of‐hours or on‐call duties, a four‐day work week, and only one in three Saturday mornings. The benefits package includes a pension, a generous annual leave allowance, and a £1500 CPD budget with four days of paid CPD per annum. Additionally, professional fees for RVCS, VDS, and membership of BVA, BSAVA, or an equivalent organisation are covered.

The ideal candidate will be confident in sole charge situations, and be capable with first opinion surgical procedures and consulting. A customer‐centric approach, an appreciation for charity work, and the ability to remain polite, calm, and respectful are essential. Being part of a positive, hard‐working team is a must.

You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
