Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon seeking a fulfilling role in a progressive and expanding independent veterinary hospital? Our client is a family-run, independent small animal hospital that has been serving the community for over 25 years. Throughout this time, they have built a strong and loyal client base and have recently enhanced their facilities to provide an even better experience for pets and their owners. The hospital now features separate cat and dog wards, consults, waiting rooms and theatres, ensuring a more comfortable and specialised environment for all. Additionally, a brand-new CT scanner has been installed in a newly built extension, further elevating the level of care provided. With a dedicated night team, the hospital offers comprehensive out-of-hours care, ensuring clients receive the highest standard of service around the clock.

The team is composed of 14 vets and 16 RVNs, SVNs, and a large support team, including multiple certificate holders in surgery, medicine, ECC, ophthalmology, and dermatology. This is a full-time or part-time permanent role, offering 30-40 hours per week over 3 or 4 days, with a 1 in 5 weekend rotation.

Ideal candidates will be forward-thinking, proactive and enthusiastic about the veterinary industry, committed to providing exceptional care. Joining this team means you will be encouraged to continue your professional development through CPD and learning from the current clinical team and diverse caseload. All interests are supported and encouraged, with a high caseload of dentistry and imaging available for those looking to expand their expertise.

Located in Somerset, just 30 minutes from Bristol, the hospital offers the perfect mix of bustling city life, picturesque countryside, and stunning coastlines to enjoy in your free time.
