An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving independent practice in stunning North Yorkshire. Celebrating 30 years of caring for animals and people, this 3-site practice (1 hospital and 2 branches) offers an excellent caseload, modern facilities, and a welcoming, supportive team of 8 vets and 13 nurses. Their values are simple: look after the animals, and everything else follows.

The Role:

This flexible position is open to full-time or part-time applicants, with no out-of-hours work. Full-time is 38 hours a week across 4 full days, with a fixed weekday off and just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. Typical shifts are 8–6, 9–7, or 8:30–6:30 depending on the site. The role would be split 50% at the hospital and 50% per week at a branch site where there would be some sole charge responsibilities but full back up available. Clinical freedom is encouraged, with support always available – most days there are at least 4 vets on site, and new graduates are never left to fly solo. This long-established, privately-owned practice prides itself on high clinical standards, excellent facilities, and true independence. The main hospital and branches are equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray (including dental), and fantastic medical and surgical facilities. The caseload is varied and interesting, with opportunities to work with exotics if desired, supported by ongoing training. With a strong family ethos, the team prioritises supporting each other and creating a positive environment where colleagues can grow, share knowledge, and enjoy their work.

You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
