Overview

The Surgical RVN role will involve assisting with surgical procedures, administering nursing care to animals, and promoting client communications. It is essential that you are at the top of your game. On shift, you will see a variety of cases spanning orthopaedics, soft tissue, and emergency, presenting an ideal opportunity to work with experienced surgeons in these specialities. You will use your skills in anaesthesia, recovery and surgical nursing to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with surgical procedures and provide nursing care to animals.
  • Promote effective client communications and client education.
  • Work on a surgery rota covering orthopaedics, soft tissue and emergency cases.
  • Utilise skills in anaesthesia, recovery and perioperative nursing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working Hours

4 x 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 19:00. 1:5 weekends working 10-hour shifts Saturday and Sunday between 07:00 and 19:00. Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
