Gateshead - Weekend Veterinary Surgeon Up to £45ph DOE plus benefits

If you're looking for additional hours or want to enhance your ECC skills, this weekend role in our Gateshead clinic could be perfect for you. Based within a busy PDSA host practice, the Gateshead clinic is a high caseload, fast paced environment. It's an excellent opportunity for vets wanting hands on exposure to a wide range of emergency and critical care cases in a well established ECC setting.
This role offers a structured 4-week rolling rota (plus bank holidays) with a consistent weekend day pattern. Shift types include:
- Saturday day: 12:00 - 18:30
- Sunday day: 08:30 - 18:30
Example 4-week rota:
- Week 1: Saturday 12:00 - 18:30, Sunday 08:30 - 18:30
- Week 2: Off
- Week 3: Saturday 12:00 - 18:30, Sunday 08:30 - 18:30
- Week 4: Off
This rota provides excellent ECC exposure while maintaining a predictable and manageable part time schedule, with regular extended time off.

You'll be supported by skilled nurses, experienced vets, and a strong client care team, ensuring you can focus on delivering the best possible outcomes for your patients.
