Vets Now Coventry has been providing emergency pet care since 2003. Our committed team of vet surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, animal care assistants and receptionists work hard through the nights, weekends, and bank holidays to ensure sick and injured pets get the very best care when daytime vets are closed. We’re looking for a Vet Surgeon to join our team, on a full time basis, to provide emergency care when it’s needed the most.
Now for work-life balance
This role consists of working an average of 40 hours per week across weekday nights, weekend days and nights, as well as a share of bank holidays – never working more than three nightshifts in a row. We appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all and are happy to consider part time applicants.

Our exceptional benefits package includes, but is not limited to:
- £1,500 CPD allowance plus 35 paid hours pro rata
- Enhanced company sick, maternity, paternity and adoption pay schemes
- Private medical insurance
- Seven weeks pro rata annual leave
- Up to 50% discounted staff pet care
- Professional membership fees
Now for development and on-going coaching

We invest heavily in the continuous professional development of all our people, and, as a Vet Surgeon you will have access to professional qualifications and our AdvantEdge programme, progression opportunities, and on-going coaching.
Now for innovation
Our AdvantEdge programme includes a one-week hands-on practical training, followed by 20 hours of flexible case-based e-learning completed at your pace. This blended approach is designed to help you start your career at Vets Now with confidence.
