Surgical Vet Nurse – Full Time
Up to £34,963 DOE plus benefits
An exciting opportunity to join our Surgical team
We have an opening to join our hard-working surgery team where you will work closely with our orthopaedic surgeons, soft tissue surgeons, neurologist and anaesthetists to provide the best care possible. We see a variety of cases who can be referred from external practices or internally from our internal medicine, oncology and ECC departments.
We are a nurse led hospital with a drive to train our nurses to be the best they can be, providing a high level of care to our referral patients.
With support from our 2 experienced diplomat anaesthetists, you will be responsible for monitoring anaesthetics for our surgeries, from routine to complex where you will be able to progress your knowledge and learn new skills such as invasive blood pressure techniques and ventilator use alongside nerve blocks and observing/assisting with advanced pain management techniques.
This is an ideal position for someone looking to develop anaesthesia skills to the next level and advanced level nursing qualifications are supported.
Who are we looking for
You will be motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude. You will be able to use your initiative and assist the team in the smooth running of the surgical floor on a day-to-day basis. Experience in referral surgical environment is not a necessity; we are a very experienced team that can support and develop you.
Rota pattern
Working a 4-day week, 10-hour shifts between Monday to Friday, 08:00 and 18:00. 1 late shift per week on a rotation to 20:00
