Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working pattern

You will work an average of 40 hours per week. Over a 4 week-period you will work 2:4 weekends, one of days and one of nights, the remaining shifts will be weeknight shifts. Shift times are from weeknights 19:00 to 09:00, and Saturday days from 12:00 to 19:00 and Sunday day from 09:00 to 19:00.
