Full Time Veterinary Nurse – Northampton
Up to £35,000 DOE plus benefits
Understanding your key role
Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in‑patient care.
Key responsibilities
- First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
- Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in‑patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
- Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
Key requirements
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
Working pattern
A template rota pattern is shown below, the exact working pattern may differ slightly:
- Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday from 19:00 to 09:00
- Week 2: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 19:00 to 09:00
- Week 3: Friday from 19:00 to 09:00
- Week 4: Tuesday and Wednesday from 19:00 to 09:00, Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30
- Week 5: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 19:00 to 09:00
- Week 6: Monday and Tuesday from 19:00 to 09:00, Sunday from 08:30 to 22:00
- Week 7: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 19:00 to 09:00
- Week 8: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 19:00 to 09:00
