Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon - Part-Time role at Vets Now Newport. Vets Now Newport works out of one of the largest emergency hospitals in the south-west. At Vets Now Newport, you will find a fully equipped and modern hospital, along with a well-supported and enthusiastic team, including Vets, Nurses, and Animal Care Assistants. Working in this 24-hour ECC setting, you will see a varied and interesting caseload which will sharpen and develop your veterinary skills.
Newport is conveniently located immediately off the M4 and is within easy reach of Bristol and Cardiff. It also offers easy access to the Brecon Beacons and is just an hour from the Gower Peninsula.
In this part-time role, you will work the backshifts. The available shift options include the following on a 3-week rolling rota, plus a fair share of bank holidays:
- Week 1: Monday & Tuesday 1700-0100
- Week 2: Monday & Tuesday 1700-0100 and either; Saturday & Sunday 1800-0230 (option 1) or Saturday & Sunday 0700-1930 (option 2)
As a backshift Vet, you will often work as an additional Vet on shift, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and work together on the more complex cases.
