Full Time Veterinary Nurse – Milton Keynes
Up to £38,385 DOE plus benefits
Overview
Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. Our Milton Keynes clinic has been providing expert veterinary care out-of-hours to local pet owners since 2007.
Responsibilities
- First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
- Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
- Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
Qualifications
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
Working pattern
A template rota is shown below, the exact working pattern may differ:
- Week 1: Monday and Thursday from 19:00 to 08:30
- Week 2: Monday and Tuesday from 19:00 to 08:30, Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30
- Week 3: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 19:00 to 08:30
- Week 4: Monday and Tuesday from 19:00 to 08:30, Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30
