Understanding your key role
The role of an anaesthesia and surgical RVN involves monitoring anaesthesia for a wide range of interesting and challenging cases, including orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, across both referral and emergency settings.
The role presents an ideal opportunity to work within a strong theatre team, alongside Diplomats, Advanced Practitioners, and highly skilled RVN’s.
To be successful in the role you should have strong anaesthesia skills and confidence in patient monitoring, as well as a commitment to maintaining high clinical standards, and a passion for surgical nursing and pain management.
- Key requirements
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
- Working pattern
We have both a permanent and a fixed term contract role (until August 2027) available with the following rota pattern:
- 4 x 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday between 07:00 to 19:00
- 1:5 weekends working 10-hour shifts Saturday and Sunday between 07:00 to 19:00
Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
