Full Time Veterinary Nurse - Stoke

Up to £35,000 DOE plus benefits

12 months Fixed Term Contract from July 2026

Our Stoke clinic has been providing expert vet care since 2004 and the team have recently been recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as an outstanding provider of emergency veterinary care.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid - give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care - management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working pattern

A template rota is shown below, the exact working pattern may differ:

  • Week 1: Wednesday from 18:00 to 09:00, Saturday from 12:00 to 18:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 18:30 or 09:00 to 19:00
  • Week 2: Monday, Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 09:00
  • Week 3: Wednesday and Thursday from 18:00 to 09:00
  • Week 4: Monday and Tuesday from 18:00 to 09:00
