Witham – Veterinary Surgeon – Part-Time (Backshifts) Up to Β£85,000 DOE pro rata plus benefits

A work life extraordinary at Vets Now Witham. At Vets Now Witham, we have an exciting opportunity for a Vet Surgeon who is seeking an interesting caseload. Working in this ECC setting will sharpen and develop your veterinary skills. As a Vet Surgeon at Vets Now Witham, you will benefit from ongoing mentorship. Our Witham team is well established and experienced, where you will find a working environment that is friendly and supportive. Vets Now Witham is located between Chelmsford and Colchester, easily accessible via the A12.

Working out-of-hours doesn’t mean working all hours. In this part-time role, you will work the backshifts. The shifts in this role will be on a 4-week rolling rota, and include the following:

  • A mixture of weeknight backshifts and weekend backshifts, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

The proposed rota within this role is on a 4-week rolling pattern:

  • Week 1 – Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Week 2 – Monday
  • Week 3 – Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Week 4 – Monday

The shift times typically include; Monday-Friday 7pm-12am and Saturday and Sunday 4pm-12am. As a backshift Vet you will often work as the second Vet on shift, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and work together on the more complex cases.
