Role information

As Employer Brand Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of Vets Now’s employer brand strategy, ensuring we attract and engage the right talent through compelling, authentic storytelling and campaigns. You will own employer brand planning and campaign management across key internal and external touchpoints, working closely with the Internal Communications Manager to ensure alignment between colleague experience and how we present ourselves as an employer. This role has no direct reports, but it does require strong collaboration across Talent Acquisition, EDI, Commercial Marketing and wider business stakeholders to bring our employee value proposition to life. You will also work closely with our IVC colleagues to align messaging and reinforce the shared identity of being part of a global veterinary group.

Employer Brand Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement a clear employer brand strategy aligned to company values, business priorities, and talent acquisition goals.
  • Own the development of employer brand messaging, narratives, and campaign themes that reflect the Vets Now employee experience.
  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Manager to ensure alignment between internal messaging and external employer brand activity, without line management responsibility.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and key business stakeholders to identify priority audiences, talent challenges, and campaign opportunities.
  • Use audience and campaign insight to refine messaging, improve targeting, and strengthen employer brand effectiveness over time.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships to gather stories, insights, and proof points that bring our employee value proposition to life.
  • Act as the subject matter lead for employer brand, bringing best practice and fresh thinking to how Vets Now attracts and engages current and future colleagues.

Employer Brand Campaign Management

  • Develop and deliver an annual employer brand campaign plan aligned with our Employee Value Proposition, culture, and recruitment priorities.
  • Create and repurpose content that resonates across key talent touchpoints, including colleague stories, day‑in‑the‑life features, values‑led campaigns, and careers content.
  • Partner with key stakeholders including Talent Acquisition, EDI, IVC and Commercial Marketing to create a strong and varied employer brand content pipeline.
  • Manage and optimise multi‑channel employer brand campaigns across a range of platforms, including social media, paid media, trade media, careers channels, and events.
  • Work in close partnership with the Internal Communications Manager to ensure the external employer brand is grounded in the real colleague experience and aligned with internal messaging.
  • Track campaign performance and effectiveness using KPIs and analytics to inform future strategy and investment.
  • Support the employer brand approach for key events and initiatives, ensuring they strengthen attraction, engagement and brand advocacy.

Key Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in marketing / events, focusing on improving client experience.
  • Successfully contributed to a brand’s presence, creating positive brand position and equity across multiple channels.
  • Experience of planning and implementing multi‑channel campaigns and/or led channel activity.
  • Confident in producing offline marketing materials such as newsletters, posters, event materials and experience managing production workflow.
  • Ability to plan workload and evidence ability to collaborate with a wider marketing team or agency.
