We are thrilled to announce the opening of a new out-of-hours veterinary clinic based in Bridgewater, Devon. Working out of our host practice, Blake Vets, an RCVS accredited practice, you’ll be joining a highly experienced team of Vets and Nurses as they provide a vital out of hours service to the local community.
A weekend role with Vets Now allows you to further your ECC knowledge, whilst gaining a second income or balancing family commitments. You can work as little as 2 shifts per month, with flexible options available. Saturday from 12:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 08:30 to 18:00.
Understanding your key role
Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:
- First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
- Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in‑patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
- Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
Key requirements
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
