Understanding your key role
Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:
- First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
- Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
- Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
Key requirements
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
Working pattern
A template rota pattern is shown below, the exact working pattern may differ slightly as we do have some flexibility with shifts:
- Week 1: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 to 09:00
- Week 2: Wednesday from 18:00 to 09:00, Saturday from 12:00 to 18:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 18:30 or 09:00 to 19:00
- Week 3: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 18:00 to 09:00
- Week 4: Monday and Tuesday from 18:00 to 09:00, Wednesday from 18:00 to 00:00
