Vets Now is the UK's leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60+ dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. As a Roving Veterinary Nurse you will work across several Vets Now clinics: Cheltenham, Swansea, Newport and Bath.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid - give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care - management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working pattern

A full-time role with Vets Now comprises 40 hours per week, working a mixture of weeknights and 1:2 weekends. As this is a roving position you will work across our Cheltenham, Swansea, Newport and Bath clinics. Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
