Salary: £12.60ph Plus Benefits

Great Western Exotics is the leading avian and exotic animal specific veterinary services in the UK. Part of Vets Now, we offer 24/7 avian and exotic animal referral service for veterinary professionals, as well as routine first-opinion consultations for pet owners seven days a week.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
As an Animal Care Assistant at Vets Now, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clinical teams with providing a comfortable and stress-free in-patient environment whilst negotiating busy shifts in an emergency clinic. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working under the guidance of Vet Nurses and Vet Surgeons.
- Handling patients for basic procedures and assisting with running diagnostic tests.
- Assisting in setting up and clearing down theatres for surgical procedures.
- Ensuring all in-patients have their basic husbandry needs attended to.
Working pattern
In this role, the rota will include working 4 days a week, plus a fair share of weekends (currently 1 in 4 but this may be subject to change). The hours will typically include 7:00-17:30 or 10:30-21:00.
