Join the Team at Vets Now – Providing Exceptional Emergency Pet Care. Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals.

A weekend role with Vets Now allows you to further your ECC knowledge, whilst gaining a second income or balancing family commitments. You can work as little as two shifts per month.

Working hours: Every other weekend: Saturday and Sunday 6pm – 12am

Understanding your key role: Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid: give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care: management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics: confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements:

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
